A World of Sound
My soundscape sets the listener in a peaceful alien forest where a number of different aliens can be heard all around the listener. As the soundscape continues the alien calls become more distorted and frantic as the wind picks up in the forest due to some unexpected guests overhead. A large spaceship decides to land in a small clearing in the middle of the forest which in turn scares all of the alien creatures away, leaving only the spaceship to be heard in the large, silence of the forest.
Created using an wide mix of recorded sounds, from kettles and trains to water tanks and chairs, the soundscape blends real-world textures with creative processing techniques to craft a surreal and futuristic listening experience.
